Grosseto is a big name in the Czech restaurant scene. There are many Italian restaurants and pizza places but not all of them are so authentic and loved by locals at the same time. Grosseto, an important part of the Czech culinary world for over 20 years, has several branches of which we like especially the one in Průhonice, just outside Prague.

It is a spacious place, in the warm months also endowed with a big outside section. We recommend you have reservations because they are a popular spot frequented by birthday groups and also families (they have a large section for kids).

The food is classic Italian: Seafood, cheese and vegetables as starters (tartare di tonno, tartare di salmone, carpaccio con parmigiano), expertly prepared pasta and rissotti, steaks and fish as main courses. Keep in mind that their desserts are quite impressive so you might want to think about the traditional tiramisù or gelato when choosing your first and second courses.

A walk, perhaps?

There is more to this place than just eating: Grosseto has its own academy where you can take a cooking course with the best Czech chefs. Useful tip: There is a huge park surrounding a nearby chateau where you can spend hours admiring the flora. Most famous is the arboretum with over 1600 species.
