Zdenek’s Oyster bar made its name thanks to offering fresh, tasty, wonderful oysters that are hard to find in this quality. This place is more a restaurant than a real bar but their style is less formal than some other upmarket places.

If oysters are not your thing but your friends insist on going there, do not despair. The restaurant offers a good selection of seafood plates, beluga caviar,  top quality grilled meat and several interesting and inventive desserts.

Something to drink

What is less known about this place is that it is such good news for wine lovers. Their wine list is well curated and the staff offers good advice. Pro tip: in the summer, you can have a glass of great wine and maybe a small dish outside, sat at a big wine cask like in the family-run restaurants in Italy and other southern places. Instead of the sea, though, you will be enjoying the one and only Prague sat right in the middle of its historical center.
