Home Kitchen is a small chain of easygoing, casual places that offer great food, a no-frills but elegant space and a concept where there are no visible barriers between the kitchen and the seating area. The Home Kitchens are cozy but their staff is professional and you can see how a place can be both elegant and relaxed.

There are currently three bistros and one café (at Jungmannova street) that carry the name Home Kitchen. The menu offers an international mixture of no-nonsense dishes such as baked meats, risottos, pasta and several salads: We especially like these as they offer a welcome addition to the usual menu that you can get anywhere. Does a salad with turkey meat, grenaille, quinoa, avocado, dried tomatoes and peanut dressing sound good? You can bet it tastes good, too.

One coffee is not enough

The owners take great care to offer superb coffee, and there are always two types of top-notch coffee available. At press time there was the Johannes Bayer (El Salvador) and a washed Guatemala option, which makes us want to try both.
